How long is a kitchen without a kitchen?
It depends on the scope and on lead times for cabinets, which are the usual long pole. I will give you a realistic window when I scope it, and I would rather tell you a longer number I can hold than a short one I cannot.
Can you move the sink or the range?
Usually yes. Moving plumbing and gas adds work under the floor and inside the walls, so it changes the number, but it is often what makes a bad layout finally work.
Do I have to move out?
No. Most people set up a temporary kitchen somewhere else in the house. We keep the work area contained and clean up daily.
